Born in Santa Cruz with inland surf guru Mike Schwenne.
Hyperlite introduces the Quad thanks to Santa Cruz natives Mike Schwenne and XXX Day, this is an insane shape ideal for any quiver. At 59" the Quad can handle the big boys and even stay ahead of smaller waves, but the shape is so responsive you'll have a blast learning 360s and popping airs. Named after its 4 fin set up, surfers have the flexibility to customize the Quad for a super carving locked in feel or a more playful feel ideal for spins. Utilizing our exclusive Dura Shell construction this shape is light weight while being durable and dent resistant. Add our fully machined EVA traction pad and you have the necessary control for the best of sets.
Our fiberglass is available in 3 weights depending on the board. Over time, traditional woven glass fibers will separate. With layered glass every Hyperlite deck will have the same pop off the double up year after year.
forgiving board for smaller to big waves
The Hyperlite Quad’s responsive shape also has another advantage, in that it can surf most wake sizes, even smaller ones. Take note if your boat produces a smaller wake. The board has a big, wide tail which enables riders to get a bigger push forward. The responsive design also gives the wakesurfer lift and low drag, therefore, you can more easily propel yourself forward and around the wake. This gives riders the ability to surf longer as they try new spins and jumps and because the board is more forgiving.
