We created the SWELL Wakesurf Creator from our passion for water sports. We spent many months researching, designing and testing our solutions to prove their worthiness. That is what makes us different and our product the best. When we started this journey to deliver the perfect product, we had 3 Commandments:
- Our product must not sacrifice quality for cost. That is why we use only the best materials when constructing our products. For example, we use high-quality marine grade polymer wakeshaping material combined with industrial suction cups that are strong enough to hold the pressure of the water back, yet do not damage delicate gelcoats or graphic wraps. This ensures our customers enjoy the perfect wake with equipment that will last a lifetime in the harshest conditions.
- Our product must be easy for everyone to use and enjoy. The SWELL Wakesurf Creator can easily be moved from one side of the boat to the other. No need to move ballast and people to one side of the boat. Everyone can enjoy a comfortable and safe ride.
- Our product is guaranteed. We stand 100% behind our product and offer a 30-day money back guarantee.
We seek to build the best solutions for our customers, so we use the best materials. The SWELL Wakesurf Creator is constructed from marine grade polymer, aluminum, and stainless steel. These materials are Post Consumer Recycled goods and this product is made in the USA! This ensures our solutions continue to perform season after season while not succumbing to harsh water conditions.
Simple. White is the easiest color to see in the water.
The SWELL Wakesurf Creator works with just about any inboard boat (direct drive or V drive). We highly recommend against surfing behind any boat with an i/o or outdrive. Swim decks do not equal a safe barrier to the engine. On Direct Drive and V Drive boats there is a swim deck, a rudder, and then the propellor, providing ample space between the surfer and the propellor.
Place your ballast evenly in the boat - no need to load up one side - with a 60% rear and 40% front split. This will give you the best surf wave. Increasing front weight from this ratio will make the wave longer; decreasing the front weight will make it shorter and taller. For direct drive boats the engine is already towards the front which makes rear ballast is much more important and you may not even need bow weight.
We recommend practicing installing and removing the SWELL Wakesurf Creators while the boat is out of the water to get familiar with overall functionality and usage. This will help you find the installation sweet spot on the hull of the boat. For use you will attach to the boat while out on the water.
- Fill your ballast evenly, there is no need to list your boat to the side when using the SWELL Wakesurf Creator. Start with a 60/40 rear/front split of ballast for a V-Drive boat. More weight in the front makes the wave longer, more weight in the rear make the wave taller and less long. For a direct drive boat we recommend starting with 600lbs only in the rear.
- This device does float. Youd don't have to worry about dropping it, it flying around while tethered, or a buddy too many beers deep dropping it in the lake! We do not include a tether, because it floats, but if you would like to make it easier to find when it falls off we suggets tying a small piece or rope about 6 in. long to a small 2-4 in piece of pool noodle to make it easier to spot. We suggest this because most people have a pool noodle around the house and it's small enough that you can leave it attached while you are using the device.
- Locate a flat surface 3-4 in. below the water line free of raised decals cloase to the back of the hull. Press the unit firmly against the boat and lock the suction levers. There should be a decent amount of tension on these levers for a good connection.
- A speed between 10-13mph works best for most boats, Please do not exceed 14mph while using the device. Practice driving with the device attached, turns away from the side of the hull it is attached to will have 2-3 times the normal turn radius.

They do, I would recommend ordering what you currently wear, these do fit tighter than standard life vests if you have not had a neoprene vest before, when you go to zip it, you should have to pull the zipper about 2" to get it to zip, they loosen up a bit when wet.
Both the H3X Plus and 2.0 are solid wake shapers, but they’re built for slightly different setups and performance needs. Here's how they stack up: H3X Plus
Wave Quality: Larger face means more water displacement for a longer, cleaner wave.
Performance: Best for heavier boats, ballasted setups, or riders who want the biggest and cleanest wave possible.
Mounting: Strong suction cup design for a rock-solid hold.
Top Pick: Our most versatile and high-performing shaper—recommended for most boats.
2.0
Wave Quality: Smaller face than the H3X Plus, so the wave isn’t quite as long, but still solid.
Performance: Great for casual riders or those looking for a simple, effective solution.
Ease of Use: Lightweight, compact, and easy to handle.
So which one should I get?If you’ve got a larger boat, use ballast, or want a next-level surf wave, go with the H3X Plus. If your boat’s on the smaller side or you’re after a more budget-friendly option that still gets the job done, the 2.0 is a great pick.

We sell a lot of our products on Amazon in Canada. If you've got a favorite dealership or store, let them know they should carry SWELL Products!
All our Creators Float, If you are concerned about losing your creator, we recommend tying something such as a piece of pool noodle on no more than a 3' string to the creator instead of tying it to your boat. This will offer a safer solution that will not damage the creator or your boat but still help you find it if that is a worry.
The SLIM H3X PLUS is designed to fit a more narrow area on a hull that the other creators will not fit on. Our tool is based on hull shapes and customer recommendations, the other ones will not generally work in the best locations
Generally they will not make your wave bigger if you have a newer boat, but a lot of boats surf systems havent been great over the years and these can make your wave much better, we have tons of 1st and 2nd gen Mastercraft owners stoked to get a killer wave with our H3X Plus Versions. They are also handy to have around if your surf system ever fails! You know who you are Malibu owners
We recommend installing the creator 2" or so below the waterline as far back as possible on the boat, opposite the surfer. To install a flat spot on the boat free of decals and any other contaminants and apply pressure to the levers as you lock them down. This is best done in the water. Surfing without a rope and feeling the "Push" of the wave generally requires a combination of both ballast and our Creators
Email us a picture of all 4 sides to support@swellwake.com and we will get it checked out for you
no, they are only designed to be used below 14 mph and will not affect the wave for wakeboarding. If you foil, they can help with that at lower speeds.
Our retail location is open 10-5pm Monday thru Thursday and 10-4pm on Fridays.
A wakeshaper on both sides will cancel each other out and create no wave. All suction style shapers are meant to be used alone on the opposite side of the wakesurfer

SWELL Wakesurf boards are built with an EPS foam core for lightweight buoyancy and responsiveness, wrapped in fiberglass for added strength and durability, and sealed with epoxy resin to create a sleek, water-resistant finish. Each board also features a textured EVA foam traction pad for solid grip and comfort while riding. Some premium models include carbon fiber reinforcement for extra stiffness and performance.
es, our wake shapers (Creators) are designed to stick securely to most boat wraps as long as the surface is smooth, clean, and free of air bubbles or texture. For best results, make sure the area is thoroughly cleaned and free of any wax or residue before attaching. Keep in mind that heavily textured or matte wraps may reduce suction strength.
Wake shapers are not designed to work on jet skis. Jet skis don’t have the right hull shape or size to create a usable surf wake, and their propulsion system (jet drive) doesn't produce the kind of wave needed for wakesurfing.
