Learn to cut out fiberglass and install a new subwoofer with head unit.

Continuing our 2006 Mastercraft Maristar 215V build, in this video we remove the old Clarion head unit and replace it with a new Fusion MS-RA70 bluetooth marine stereo.

We walk you through how to remove the old unit, how to wire the new head unit into the factory wiring, and how to install the new unit into the factory location with an adapter plate.

We also install a 10” JL Audio Subwoofer in the bow walkway to ensure a cool look as well as killer sound. We walk through how to measure, cut and support the sub in the fiberglass to ensure a long lasting, strong installation.

This 2006 Mastercraft will surf, sound, and ride like a new boat when SWELL Wakesurf is done with it!

Phillips screw driver
Jigsaw
Wire Stripper

Materials

Painter's tape
18 gauge speaker wire, 18 guage black and white wire
22-16 gauge heat shrink butt connectors
16 - 12 gauge heat shrink butt connectors
Fusion Head Unit
JL Subwoofer
